I've been a Quicken user since 1988, all on DOS or Windows. I am interested in trying the latest version for the Mac as I am now primarily a Mac user (with VMWare so I can continue using Quicken for Windows). Since I am not sure that the Mac version will meet all of my needs, I need to know if I purchase the Mac version for download and give it a try (I will naturally keep a backup of my data files), can I get a refund and then purchase the 2017 Windows version if the Mac version doesn't work out for me? You have 60 days form date of purchase to get a refund. Then you can re-purchase the version you want. See details here: To help you along on moving to Quicken for Mac, here is the entire process: In your case, you can skip steps 1 and 2 but review all the prep and background info before. NOTE: Be aware that at this time, it is very difficult to convert back from Mac to Windows, as there are many problems with the reverse conversion process. I also suggest that you make sure that Quicken 2017 for Mac will meet your needs, since it was re-written from the ground up (starting in 2010 with Quicken Essentials) and is not the same product as the Windows version, so there are some features that are still not there e.g. Loan amortization, 2-line display, QuickMath, auto-backups, or are not as fully developed yet, e.g. Customized Reports, investment lot management and performance reports and stats (therefore some data may not carry over). I highly recommend that you browse through the IDEAS section of this forum and VOTE for the request of each of the missing features to be added back into Quicken for Mac.to help direct the priorities of the developers. This will help make the transition easier for you when you are ready to upgrade by seeking to have the features you are used to in QWin end up in the latest version. To do that, I suggest you read this FAQ on how to filter the IDEAS to just show the ones for the Mac version, then VOTE to your heart's content: The following are some of the many feature requests you will find: • • • • • • • • • Budget features • many requests for configuration options and many others. Be sure to scroll down each page, as some contain lists of related features. Click on the link to EACH IDEA separately that you are interested in, then click the VOTE button at the top of EACH page that opens up respectively to increase the count and therefore its visibility to the developers. If you do not click VOTE at the top of the page of each feature, your vote will NOT be counted for THAT specific feature! You can Try to delete and close and Re add name again. • Try to launch Citrix Receiver app again. Part 2 • Quit all Citrix App • Download the new Citrix Software • Remove all Citrix files (you can use app zapper if you can’t find all traces of Citrix system files) • Reboot • Re install Citrix software You can also open Console App while Citrix is running so that you can check for Citrix errors. They have been added to the domain and Citrix Receiver v11.4.0 installed and configured. However once you start to run an application it takes forever to actually start up. It gives me the window 'Starting.' With the application name. It then takes about 5-10 minutes to load the application. As soon as the application is loaded it is useable and works perfectly. Again if its closed and re opened - you still need to wait 5-10 for it to work. This is happening on all the Macs with one sometimes showing and error - 51 I belive. Is there any way of checking what is actually going on? It been tried in numerous places to get it working but nothing seems to be showing any issues or problematic signs. Hi everyone, Is there such a thing as a Mac-native tool for downloading RTMP streams? I'm trying to download a German-language news video for use with one of my students, but so far have not been able to find a pre-built solution for achieving this. I'm hoping there is something available that I don't have to compile as I only have the one Mac system (MBP 10.7.4), which is my work machine, and so don't want to monkey around with compiling options and leaving trash all over my system (if runs slow enough now as it is). If anyone can suggest anything, I would greatly appreciate it. Regards, Bowjest. Bowjest, I have no trouble playing my own HTTP video in Elmedia Player. However, I am not able to play video at the URLs that you listed. I don't have any video that are streamed via the RTMP or MP4. So, I cannot test those protocols. As for downloading as opposed to streaming, downloading is a 'Pro' feature. Of course, this means that you can only download if you pay. It turns out that VLC also supports RTMP. You may try to download your video using VLC. However, when I pasted your MRL for the RTMP file into VLC, I received an error message. How do I play an RTMP stream in VLC? Streaming vlc-media-player video-streaming rtmp. On Mac/OSX, I was able to get this to work with a modification of. Live Video Streaming Flash RTMP Player. MAC OS X Double-click the installall.command file Instructions. Review the tutorials listed below. |
